In this 6-week Bible study, we will walk through the Gospel of Mark by highlighting the Gospel’s major themes: Jesus served, sacrificed, and saved. We will unpack many powerful texts and discuss how these texts speak to us today. This study will be led by Paul Austin. Paul served as a Parish Pastor for 27 years before taking a position at Regents School of Austin where he has taught 9th Grade New Testament and 11th Grade Apologetics for the past seven years. A class booklet will be provided and participants are asked to bring their Bibles.

Games Night is being changed to Game Day! We’re making it easier for you to be able to play games and moving to early afternoons. Instead of having snacks for you, let’s try lunch and then begin playing. We begin on Thursday, January 16, at noon.
Lunch will be a salad with lettuce, salad dressings, drinks and paper goods and you all bring an ingredient for the salad. Looking forward to getting back to our games with all of you!
Join us at Lustre Pearl South (Menchaca Rd) on last Tuesdays starting at 6:30pm. Plenty of food trucks to choose from and areas for all the men to sit and visit. No need to RSVP just bring a friend!
Join us for the Bethany Men’s Retreat from February 28 to March 2 at Camp of the Hills in Marble Falls, Texas. This transformative weekend is an opportunity to step away from the busyness of life, connect with other men, and grow deeper in your relationship with Jesus. The theme, "Refresh, Renew, Resolve," will guide our time together as we find rest in Jesus, renew our minds through His Word, and begin to create a plan to live a life of steadfast resolve in our faith journey. Don’t miss this chance to recharge your spirit and return home equipped to live with greater purpose and passion.
Heart and Soul is a retreat held at Bethany for all high school youth. This event is completely FREE! However, it includes transportation and food (Salt Lick, anyone ?!?). Come and join us as we go out in the community and do a variety of service projects that make a huge impact on those in need in the Austin area. This event is free to all high school youth to attend (mandatory participation for all confirmation students). We need adult/parents to help with this event as chaperones.
Questions? Contact Charessa Koontz.
We would love for you to join us at the Bethany Book Club, which meets every second Thursday at 11am in the Worship Center Lobby. Our gatherings include a friendly discussion of our latest book over a light lunch. Don't worry if you haven't read the book - everyone is welcome to participate in the conversation and enjoy the fellowship.
Next book: The Women by Kristin Hannah (February 13th)
A novel about one sheltered young woman who joins the Army Nurse Corps and serves in Vietnam in 1965, but it shines a light on all women who put themselves in harm’s way.
