What is Confirmation?

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
— Matthew 28:19-20

Jesus commands us to both baptize and teach.  Through baptism, God gives us faith, new life and the assurance of salvation.  But after baptism, Christians need to be taught more about their faith.

God gives parents the responsibility of teaching the faith to their children.  Parents, your example of worship, prayer and Christian living speaks volumes to your children.  Our job at Bethany is to assist you in this huge responsibility.

Students, Confirmation is a big step in a lifelong journey of growing in faith.  You won't learn everything in these two years.  But it's a start!  We pray that God continues to teach you more and more about His Word, His World and His Church throughout your life.  But for now, let the learning begin!

Confirmation at Bethany is for 9th and 10th graders on Sunday morning @ 9:15 AM.  Classes are held September - February.
