Noon Advent Services

Advent is a time of waiting---not only for a child to be born in Bethlehem but for the Lord once born to return to claim that which is His.  Advent is about starting new and in many ways the unexpected. Join us in worship on Wednesdays at noon in the chapel as we explore the hope, peace, and joy that comes with the coming of Christ this Christmas!

Advent Evening Meals

Come for great food and fellowship as well as supporting the different ministries at Bethany.  The meals begin at 5:00pm and will last until 6:15pm.  After the meal, you and your family can go the Simply Christmas Advent services in the activity center.

On December 6, Let It Shine Enrichment Academy will be preparing the meal.  The proceeds will help this new ministry.

On December 13, the middle school youth will be serving their chili dinner with cornbread and brownies.  The proceeds will help fund their summer mission trip to Rio Grande Valley in Texas.

On December 20, the Comfort Dog ministry will be serving Chicken Fettuccine,  salad, and rolls.  Come learn more about the ministry and what it does for the community and other places.  They are also looking for additional Assistant Handlers. They provide the training to any adults (18 or older) who are interested in joining the ministry.  This person is not responsible for handling the Comfort Dog; however, they will engage the people we meet and assist with ministering to them.

Wednesday Nights at 6:30pm

We get it. The weeks of December are full of Christmas chaos. This is why Bethany is providing “Simply Christmas” – a haven for everyone this holiday season. Join us Wednesday evenings for a free meal (from 5:00 to 6:15pm), followed by relaxed, family-friendly worship in the CLC. We’ll explore the simple traditions of Christmas that still carry powerful meaning today. These evenings will feature interactive devotions, special music by our preschool, elementary, and middle school students, and maybe even an appearance by Charlie Brown!

Lessons and Carols

Join us for our annual Lessons and Carols festival services on Sunday, December 17 at all three morning services: 8am, 9:30am, and 11am in the Sanctuary.  It will be our full choral and orchestra/bells event.

At the same time, we will have our Christmas Around the World event for all children and adults to visit the many countries on how the celebrate their Christmas.  The event will be in our Community Life Center.

Poinsettias from Down Home Ranch Ministry

Please help us decorate the sanctuary by purchasing a Christmas Poinsettia.  They will adorn the sanctuary during the Christmas celebration and will be yours to take home at the conclusion of our Christmas worship services.  All purchases will support Down Home Ranch and their ministry to the disabled.  Forms are located at the Welcome Center Lobby and are available through December 17.
